Setup Instructions

1

Install CGM+ GB App

Install the CGM+ GB App from the Garmin Connect IQ store and complete the initial setup for your CGM system:

2

Set the Data Field

In the watchface settings on the Garmin Connect IQ app, select "CGM+ GB (Dexcom, Libre, etc)" in any field where you want to show the glucose data:

Select CGM+ GB in your watchface settings

3

Configure Min/Max Values for CGM

Note: When using the CGM+ GB app, your goals will be automatically taken from the "Target High" and "Target Low" settings in the app. Manual configuration is only needed for "CGM: Other" field or the Bruder Jakob app.

For older watchfaces: In the watchface settings, scroll down to "Goals". Set your upper and lower glucose levels next to min/max heart-rate. Use a semicolon (;) to separate the values:

Format Examples:

  • mg/dL: 70;180
  • mmol/L: 3.9;13.9

Use a dot (.) for decimals

Latest Watchfaces: Goals can be configured directly on your watch!

  1. Hold the Menu button on your watch
  2. Go to WatchfaceConfigureSettings
  3. Select Other Goals

Wait for Data

Save your settings and open the CGM+ GB app on your watch to start the background process. The data should appear within 30 seconds.

  • The field will show -- or --- until the first data point is received
  • After the initial connection, data will update continuously as new readings become available
  • Make sure your phone is connected via Bluetooth and has an active internet connection (for Dexcom, Nightscout, and Libre)
